GCEO Commemorates Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Month with Education and Outreach Exhibition

The Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity (GCEO) recently concluded a successful Education and Outreach Exhibition in recognition of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Month. Held at the Sloppy Floyd “Twin Towers” building, the event served as both a celebration of the agency’s mission and a valuable opportunity to engage with the public and collaborate with fellow state agencies. Representatives from both the Housing and Employment Divisions played a critical role in raising awareness of fair housing and employment laws, reinforcing GCEO’s steadfast commitment to civil rights, equal access, fairness, and service across the State of Georgia.
The Fair Housing and Equal Employment Divisions hosted a series of interactive table displays drawing attendees with educational resources, engaging discussions, and agency promotional item giveaways. The vibrant exhibits, coupled with the professionalism and approachability of GCEO staff, created a welcoming environment that encouraged meaningful dialogue on various areas of housing and employment.
A notable highlight of the exhibition was a visit from Georgia State Representative Derrick McCollum of District 30. We were honored to welcome Representative McCollum to our table, and we sincerely thank him for taking the time to engage with our team.
As Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Month draws to a close, GCEO remains energized by the success of this initiative and is committed to sustaining its momentum. This effort stands as a testament to the agency’s ongoing work to advance fairness, opportunity, and access across Georgia.
GCEO extends its sincere gratitude to all participating staff for their outstanding contributions and dedication to making this year's celebration a resounding success. For continued updates and highlights, please visit our website and follow us on social media.
