GCEO Welcomes Visitors from Brazil
On Friday, October 25, 2019, GCEO hosted a delegation of women from Brazil visiting Georgia as a part of the, "Women's Leadership in Entrepreneurship and the Digital Economy" program under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program.
The visitor's consisted of eight women working in a variety of areas ranging from educators, founders/co-founders, CEOs, directors, reporters, managers, and program coordinators.
The professional objectives for their visit to Georgia included reviewing the role of women leaders in public service, civil society, politics, government, community organizations, and the private sector in promoting effective policies, initiatives, and programs; examining examples of entrepreneurial efforts in the U.S, particularly those initiated or managed by women; exploring government and civil society initiatives that support women in the economic, political, and human rights spheres; discussing the perspectives of women leaders, and how policy influencers promote women in political and social dialogue; observing best practices in advocating for the rights, safety, and advancement of women; looking at various business models, support mechanisms, and innovations that bolster businesses such as micro‑lending, multi‑level marketing, use of the internet, and mentoring programs, and others; learning about trends in industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, and the automation revolution; and demonstrating the impact of U.S. e‑commerce on local, regional, national, and global economies.
